大般若に行ってきた
『大般若波羅蜜多経』（だいはんにゃはらみったきょう）６００巻を
すべて読経することは困難なことから
転読（経典を読誦すること）するという
実に合理的な考えの
仏教的行事
『大般若波羅蜜多経』は
630年頃、玄奘がインド等から般若経典群を中国へ持ち帰る
玄奘自ら翻訳の指揮を取って4年の歳月を掛けて漢訳
663年『大般若波羅蜜多経』が完成
漢訳ものは広く日本にも伝えられた
日本の各寺院に保存されている大般若経は写し
大般若会は真言・天台等の密教系宗派や禅宗において行われている
日蓮宗・浄土真宗等を除く
大部分の宗派はこの経を教義の基礎と位置づけている
703年（大宝3）文武(もんむ)天皇のとき
『大般若経』の転読（経題や経の初中終の数行の略読を繰り返すこと）が行われたと
『続日本紀(しょくにほんぎ)』に散見
それ以後、わが国では宗派の別なく勅命により
この転読が行われ、現在に続く
歴史は
結構古い
転読で
御利益があるのだと言う
